Visit to Charlotte

Last weekend we took a trip to Charlotte to visit Katie and Dort. It was Peter's first plane ride and he did really well! He fell asleep just before take-off on the way down and actually slept right through the landing on the way back to Boston! He got a bit antsy at times but he was a good traveler. Pete had to do a record breaking diaper change as we were preparing to take off after Peter pooped in his pants just before leaving and the smell was pretty bad! Perfect timing!
We spent the weekend hanging out as Peter explored Aunt Katie and Matt's house! He didn't get into too much trouble, but did enjoy playing with the wine bottles in the wine rack and the fly swatters! Sunday Pete, Katie, Matt, and Chris went to the Bills game and.......THEY WON! WOW!
We had a great time and it is safe to say that we will travel again!

Peter and Pumpkins

Today we took Peter to get his very first pumpkin! We had planned to go to a pumpkin patch and pick our own, but on the way we passed a church that was selling pumpkins and they had quite a few so we figured we would keep it simple and pick one up there instead. They had a great selection and we would have gotten a nice, big pumpkin for Peter however they only accepted cash and we only had $8 so we had to settle for a small $5 pumpkin! It's just his size!

Little Bills Fan

Peter has gotten some baby bills gear which was supposed to be good luck for the team however they are off to a slow start! Even if they don't win, he still looks good in his jersey and will wear it on Sundays!

Hide and Seek

Happy Guy!

I love this photo!!! I never seem to catch him at the perfect moment. He tends to freeze when he sees the orange light on the camera, but today I finally got a great picture!

More Vacation Photos

Our first family vacation

Last week we had our first family vacation at the beach in Rhode Island. We rented a house and had some family and friends visit while we were there. Peter was a bit under the weather since he got his first official cold/fever the day we were leaving (figures), but he started to cheer up as the week went on. We spent a little time on the beach each afternoon. Peter got to sport his new swim gear and liked getting wet and sinking his toes in the sand! He also got to meet another girlfriend. Our friends Bob and Rae came down with their daughter Hailey who is 5 months old. They enjoyed getting to know each other and having shouting/singing matches at the house! We are hoping to make this an annual trip!

Baby Proofing

While I was packing the car last week I left Peter in his exersaucer next to the coffee table. When I opened the door I was shocked to find the laptop in the exersaucer with him!!! I literally did a double take and then reached for the camera! He looked like he was busy checking his email! It was actually really funny, but now it is officially time to baby proof the house! We also had to take the alarm clock/sound machine out of his crib after he was waking up and playing with the pieces that detach and banging them against the side of the crib.....at 4 in the morning!!!!

First Food

Peter started rice ceral for the first time last night! He had no idea what was going on and didn't actually swallow much of it, but we think he will get the hang of it pretty quickly! He really enjoyed chewing on the spoon. He loves chewing on anything these days!

Another Play Date

Peter and I spent the afternoon with the girls last week! They are all growing so fast. We are anxious to have another playdate when his buddy Antone arrives from Ethiopia this fall (not that Madelyn and Caitlyn aren't great)!

Aunt Margaret and Uncle Mark

Pete's sister Margaret was in town visiting her husband who is here training for a new job. They wanted to get a photo with Peter and they finally did....after he had been put to bed for the night! Luckily for them and Pete, Peter settled back in and fell asleep for the night! It was a nice visit.

Sitting Up

Peter is starting to be able to sit for a few minutes at a time by himself! He has taken a few spills, but luckily hasn't landed too hard on that big head of his! He is also finally rolling over from back to belly but still hasn't quite figured out how to sleep on his tummy (which we are anxiously awaiting in hopes that he will sleep through the night)!

Maine

Tubby Time

Peter is loving his tubs these days! Hopefully, this means he will like the water and enjoy swimming this summer!

Happy 1st Father's Day, Daddy!

Peter got his dad a digital picture frame for his desk at work and a gift certificate to get a real, hot shave so he can get his face as smooth as Peter's bottom! Peter loves his daddy!

What a big boy!
