"Get this hat off me"

Caitlyn

Peter's First Play Date

We met up with Matt, Jen, and their daughter Caitlyn on Sunday. She is about 3 weeks younger than Peter and I think they really hit it off!

2 month shots

Peter had his 2 month shots yesterday. :( He screamed like crazy for about 30 seconds but calmed down after Pete gave him a big hug and he got to drink some sugar water. I cried a but too, but not nearly as loud as Peter! He was sleepy last night and a bit fussy, but that was about it. He weighed in at 12 lbs. 3 oz. and 22 1/2 in. long!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

Peter's First St. Patty's Day! Luckily he had a green onesie to wear today thanks to our friends Kate and Jeff! It is a perfect fit and he looks good in green!

Love the swing!

The swing we were given has been a lifesaver! Peter will sit in it for hours (almost 2 anyway) and stare up at himself in a mirror and smile at his "friends" the bird, butterfly, and bumblebee. He will even fall asleep but not right away!

Smile!?

Last week, Peter started to smile a real smile. Not just gas; we think! It is hard to get a photo since they are fleeting, but here is a big one, just covered by his arm!

Who's Who

People have different opinions about who Peter looks like. I wasn't sure myself until my mom showed us the picture of me as a newborn! I'm the one on the left!

First Road Trip

We made our first road trip to visit Noni and Gramps in CT the last week in February. Peter slept the whole way down and back, but it was a close call as we got to our destination because he was starving! He got to meet his great aunts and uncles, his great grandma, and the Goldens. Everyone was so excited to meet him!

Naptime

First Real Bath

I gave Peter his first real bath in his tub while Dort and my mom were visiting. He did not love it! Hopefully, they get easier.

Aunt Dort's Visit

Dort came to stay Valentine's Day weekend and she met Peter! She loved him! Pete and I even got to go out for dinner one night while she and mom watched Peter. Thanks for coming, Aunt Dort!

First Sponge Bath

Nice To Meet You

Grandma and Uncle Robert came to visit from Buffalo. Jet Blue had a one day promotion on tickets from Buffalo to Boston- $9 each way!!!! Peter loved sleeping on Grandma and Patsy even tried to get some extra attention from her too! We had a great visit even though we didn't really leave the house much! Noni came up to see everyone and we took Peter on his first trip to a restaurant.

The First Month- Getting To Know You

The first few weeks have been exhausting! Luckily, Pete was able to be home for the first week. Peter is breastfeeding which was not as easy as I thought it might be. I was hardly able to wear a shirt my boobs were so sore! A lactation consultant came out to the house to check on us and be sure he was latching well (which he was) and she basically told me that it will hurt for a couple weeks. It sucked...LITERALLY! Our first visits to the pediatrician proved that he was gaining weight so we know that he's eating enough! He was up to 9 lbs. 14 oz. at his 1 month appt. Must be my miracle milk!
Other than eating, sleeping, and pooping Peter is not doing too much. We have been out a few times. I ventured out on my own to Target, Stop and Shop, and Babys R Us but he slept through the whole trip which is actually best!

The first grandbaby

Peter met Gramps, Noni, Aunt Katie, and his great grandmother when he got home! They were very excited!

Katie flew in from North Carolina to meet her new nephew and stayed a couple of days.
